Worship Team on 14th February
Worship at St. Andrew’s tomorrow will look, and sound, different from what we’ve experienced these last few months. At St Andrew’s we are often reminded that God’s Church is not divided by buildings, denominations, or names on the door. In Christ there is one Church, gathered from many places, and one body called to worship and serve together. Occasionally we are given opportunities to make that unity visible, and this Sunday is one of those moments.
Tomorrow we are delighted to welcome Dave and Marc, who will be leading us in worship. They have very kindly offered to join us from Cornerstone Baptist Church for the service tomorrow, and their presence with us is a small but meaningful way of celebrating the unity of God’s people across our local churches. When we share gifts, serve one another, and worship together, we glimpse something of what it means that the Church of Christ is one body.
We are also very thankful to Jo Smith for his kindness and encouragement in making this possible. That spirit of generosity and partnership between churches is a real gift to our community.
Please do give Dave and Marc a warm St Andrew’s welcome when you see them tomorrow. It will be a joy to worship together, and to celebrate in a small but tangible way that God’s Church is one Church.
