We understand that visiting church for the first time can feel a bit scary. At St. Andrew’s, you’ll find a welcoming and friendly group. You don’t have to know what to do, say, or believe — just come as you are.

everyone’s nervous to begin with.

  • A man with tattoos on his left arm is standing outdoors with his back to the camera, wearing a black T-shirt that reads 'JESUS IS KING.' He is looking at a scenic landscape of green hills and mountains under a cloudy sky.

    No Dress code

There’s no Dress Code here. Loads of us have tattoos and piercings. some choose to wear suits and ties. Others might come in tracksuits. No matter what you wear or how you look, Jesus loves us.

  • A small blackboard sign with white handwritten text that says 'Welcome please come in,' hanging from a wooden post with ropes on a porch or outside area.

    What Happens when you arrive?

When you arrive, people with badges will be outside the door to welcome you. You can ask them any questions or just say hello and walk in if you feel nervous. They can help you find a seat, but there's no set seating. If it’s your first time, sitting near the back is fine. We also have seats and space for wheelchairs at the back, and the welcomers can show you where. We’ve got accessible toilets in the center, and our services are streamed on facebook if you want a feel of what they look like.

  • A couple sitting close together in an audience watching a presentation or performance on stage, in a dimly lit room with audience members and stage lights in the background.

    What Happens During?

We’ll begin with prayers and a song, followed by readings and a short talk about the Bible, which shares God’s teachings. Then, there will be time for questions and Communion—a ceremony where we share bread and wine to remember Jesus. After another song, there’s coffee and biscuits for anyone who wants to stay. The service lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours, and you can leave anytime. The leader will tell everyone when to sit or stand. You don’t have to sing aloud if you don’t want to, but joining in can be fun!
