Nov 13th - Hope That Holds Us
Reading: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Devotional: On Remembrance Day, we honor those who have fallen, those whose lives were cut short by war and sacrifice. Grief is real; loss leaves an aching void. But Paul reminds us not to grieve as those without hope. Our hope isn't wishful thinking—it's anchored in the resurrection of Jesus. The same God who raised Christ will raise those who belong to Him. You don't have to hold tight to your loved ones in desperate fear; God holds them securely. Death is not the final word. Today, as you remember, allow yourself to feel both sorrow and hope simultaneously. Bring your grief to the God who is "more tender than our sorrow, more forgiving than our anger." Let Him hold you as He holds those you've loved.
