Nov 12th - The Danger of Scripture Without Spirit
Reading: 2 Corinthians 3:1-6
Devotional: The Sadducees knew their Scriptures but missed the heart of God. They had the letter of the law but lost the spirit of promise, hope, and resurrection. Paul warns us that "the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life." We can study Scripture daily, memorize passages, and still miss God Himself if we approach the Bible merely as a text to master rather than as God's living word to transform us. Scripture isn't meant to be controlled but to encounter the living God who speaks through it. As you read today, don't just seek information—seek transformation. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's character, not just His commands. Come to Scripture expecting not to tell God who He is, but to hear Him tell you who you are.
