Day 4: Prophets in the Everyday
Reading: Amos 5:21-24; Matthew 5:14-16
Devotional: We're called to be prophets—not fortune-tellers, but truth-speakers. Prophets point people toward God and stand against injustice. This isn't reserved for pulpits and platforms; it happens in coffee shops, workplaces, and family gatherings. When we choose honesty over gossip, when we defend the vulnerable, when we live generously in a greedy world, we're being prophetic. But here's the crucial truth: we cannot save anyone. We can only point to the One who can. Our prophetic witness isn't about being perfect or having all the answers; it's about consistently directing attention away from ourselves and toward Christ. In a world full of noise, our lives can be arrows pointing to Jesus.
Reflection: What truth is God calling me to speak today? How can I point someone toward Christ through my actions this week?
