God Seeks Us in Unexpected Places

Reading: Isaiah 9:1-7

Devotional: God's light dawns first in the forgotten places. Zebulun and Naphtali—border territories, mixed populations, the first to fall to invasion—became the birthplace of Jesus' ministry. This reveals a profound truth: God doesn't wait for us to clean up our lives or reach the center of religious respectability. He comes to the margins, to the messy and complicated places where we actually live. Where do you feel marginalized today? What parts of your life seem too dark or damaged for God's presence? Remember, Jesus began His work precisely in such places. The kingdom of heaven has come near to you, right where you are, not where you think you should be.
