Living from Identity, Not for Identity
Reading: Ephesians 1:3-14
Devotional: The exhausting project of self-construction ends here. Paul reminds us that before the foundation of the world, God chose you, adopted you, and sealed you with His Spirit. You don't have to build your identity—it's already been given. This week, you'll face pressure to prove yourself, to justify your existence, to Renamed and Redefinedperform for acceptance. But you are already known, already named, already beloved. The freedom of the gospel is this: you can stop trying to become someone and start living as thRenamed and Redefinede someone God says you are. Today, instead of asking "Who do I need to be?" ask "Who does God say I am?" Then live from that truth, not toward it. You are chosen, redeemed, and deeply loved—not because of what you do, but because of whose you are.
