5th Nov - The Faithful Witness

Reading: Amos 7:10-17; Acts 4:13-20

Devotional: Amos wasn't a professional prophet—he was a shepherd and fig farmer. Yet when God called him, he couldn't help but speak what he had seen and heard. Similarly, Peter and John declared, "We cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard." Faithful witnesses aren't necessarily the most educated or eloquent; they're simply those who have encountered God and cannot stay silent. Amaziah represented the cancel culture of his day, trying to silence uncomfortable truth. But God's Word will not be stifled. You may feel ordinary, unqualified, or inadequate, but if God has spoken to you, you have a testimony worth sharing. Don't let fear of opposition silence what God has revealed to your heart.

Reflection Question: What has God shown you that you've been hesitant to share with others?
