Nov 26th - Judgment as Love
Reading: Hebrews 12:5-11
Devotional: We often view God's judgment as punishment, but Amos shows us it's actually love. God disciplines those He loves because He refuses to let us remain in patterns that destroy us. Like a surgeon who must cut to heal, God exposes our sin not to humiliate but to restore. The sifting Amos describes isn't arbitrary destruction—it's purposeful refining. God separates what's hard and resistant from what's soft and receptive to His work. His judgment is always aimed at restoration. When we face consequences for our choices or feel convicted by His Word, we're experiencing His loving intervention. He cares too much to let us continue down destructive paths. Where is God's loving discipline at work in your life? How can you respond with humility rather than resistance?
