Nov 17th - Worship with your Whole Heart

Reading: Amos 8:4-6; Matthew 6:19-24

Devotional: The merchants in Amos' day went through religious motions while their hearts remained fixated on profit. They couldn't wait for worship to end so they could return to exploiting the poor. Jesus later warned that we cannot serve both God and money. True worship requires our undivided attention and wholehearted devotion.

As you approach times of prayer and worship this week, examine your heart honestly. Are you fully present with God, or is your mind wandering to your schedule, finances, or entertainment? God desires more than our physical presence; He wants our hearts completely surrendered to Him. When we worship with authenticity, we discover the joy of genuine intimacy with our Creator. Today, practice setting aside distractions and giving God your full, undistracted attention in prayer.
