13th January - The Queue of Honesty
Reading: Matthew 3:1-12
Devotional: John the Baptist didn't offer platitudes or reassurance that everyone's "vibes were immaculate." He told the truth: something is fundamentally broken, not just out there, but in here. The Jordan became a place of radical honesty where the filtered version of life got washed away. Who is the one person in your life who actually knows what's going on—how heavy things really are? If that number is zero, what's preventing you from stepping into honesty with someone? Repentance isn't humiliation; it's trust. It's having the courage to say to God, "This is my life as it really is," believing that grace is waiting in that water. God wants the real you, even the version surviving on caffeine with unwashed hair.
