Acts 435

St Andrews and The Kinson & West Howe Foodbank have a strong partnership with Acts 435 and have done now for some years.

Acts 435 is a national Christian charity that directly connects those who want to help with those who are facing poverty or hardship, often helping an individual or family bridge the gap when facing financial crisis. Requests for help are posted onto the Acts 435 website by a partner church or local charity, and are to fund specific items such as a cooker, school uniform or a bus pass. Donors visit their website and give any amount towards these requests. 100% of their donation goes directly to the person they choose to support, as the administration costs of Acts 435 are fully funded by Gift Aid.

So far during 2026 we have made 14 applications to Acts 435 enabling us to purchase essential items such as fridge freezers, beds, washing machines, medical equipment and ovens. They have provided us with over £2,500 to use for purchasing these items for members of the church and foodbank communities. We are so grateful to be able to work with such an incredible Christian charity and be able to support the work that they do.
