Day 1: Recognizing the King

Reading: Matthew 2:1-12

Devotional: The Magi recognized Jesus as King from the moment they saw the star. They didn't wait for confirmation or convenience—they immediately began their journey. This Epiphany season, ask yourself: Do I truly recognize Jesus as King in my life? The wise men saw a sign in the heavens and responded with action. We have something even greater—the complete revelation of Jesus in Scripture and through the Holy Spirit. Yet how often do we acknowledge His kingship only in words while keeping control of our decisions? Today, take one area of your life where you've been holding the crown and consciously place it at Jesus' feet. True recognition of His kingship demands a response that changes how we live.
