Day 2: The Torch in the Forest

Reading: Psalm 27:1-6

Devotional: "The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?" Like a torch illuminating the next few steps on a dark forest path, God's presence doesn't always reveal the entire journey ahead. And that's okay. Hope doesn't demand certainty; it requires trust. The psalmist knew danger and uncertainty, yet chose confidence in God's protective light. You may not see how your current struggle resolves, but you can see the next faithful step. Today, identify one area where you're demanding to see the whole path. Can you take just the next step God is showing you? Sometimes courage looks like walking forward with a small light rather than waiting for floodlights.
